Colin has a BASc Civil Engineering, 2012, University of Waterloo, MASc Civil Engineering 2015, University of Waterloo PhD Civil Engineering, 2020. He’s a Structural Engineer Intern/Bridge Designer at B. M. Ross and Associates in Goderich Ontario. His MASc research specialized in materials, specifically looking at the corrosion resistance of different grades of stainless-steel reinforcing steel in reinforced concrete structures. His PhD research focused on the structural performance of concrete structures containing glass fibre reinforced polymers. Colin also has extensive research into the effects of different chlorides on concrete strength and pore solution chemistry to determine how different concrete paste and chlorides interact.
