Stuart Huxley
Stuart Huxley is in-house counsel for the City of Ottawa with more than 25 years of experience and has enjoyed being an instructor with GR for several years. Stuart has practiced in all areas of municipal law, advising Council, Committees, and municipal staff on municipal risk and liability, by-law and regulatory law, litigation matters, including municipal roadway liability and negligent building inspection cases. Stuart loves teaching municipal law to law students in Ottawa and to municipal staff from across the province at Good Roads. Stuart’s is Interim City Solicitor for Ottawa.
Rowan Peterson
Rowan Peterson is Associate Legal Counsel with the City of Ottawa’s Municipal & Regulatory Law Practice Group. Rowan has acted as a prosecutor before the Provincial Offences Court, represented the municipality as counsel at various levels of court as well as before administrative tribunals, and provides legal support to the municipality on a broad variety of topics. Rowan enjoys the opportunity to share information on municipal law as part of Good Roads.
