Course Description

Signs & Lines delivers practical, hands-on training in the use of Ontario Traffic Manuals 5, 6, and 11, equipping participants with the knowledge to make informed, defensible decisions about road signage and pavement markings. Through interactive group activities and expert-led instruction, you’ll explore how signs guide drivers, reduce risk, and support municipal liability protection. 

You’ll leave with a toolkit of best practices and a deeper understanding of how to manage signage programs that meet regulatory standards and enhance roadway safety.

Brian Anderson, Road Specialist/RSATL – Retired, Intact Public Entities – Prior to joining Intact Public Entities, Brian worked for both urban and rural municipalities as well as the Municipal Office of the Ministry of Transportation and Good Roads. Intact Public Entities assist’s client municipalities with their road safety issues. Brian’s experience in building, maintaining and managing municipal infrastructure provided a foundation for resolving road safety issues.
