  • Prerequisites: Grade 10 mathematics background and familiarity with algebraic formulas incorporated into Microsoft Excel. 
  • Equipment: Laptop with licensed Microsoft Excel 2007 or Office 365, metric engineering scale, pens, mechanical pencils, and computer reading glasses (if needed). 
  • Evaluation: Final closed-book exam and a take-home assignment due the Monday after the course. (60% passing grade). 
  • AORS: Mandatory for Certified Road Supervisor – Intermediate (CRS-I) designation 
  • MEA: Mandatory course for the MEA’s Municipal Infrastructure Certification in Buried Infrastructure 
  • Ministry of the Environment: meets CE training criteria for wastewater operators under O.Reg. 129/04 (3.5 CEUs) 
  • OACETT: Eligible for all exam programs including technical specialist, technician, and technologist programs (Point Value: 7) 
  • Engineering Institute of Canada: Awards 3.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
