Arti Sanichara

Arti is a senior legal counsel with the Region of Peel. Her area of practice is planning and development, and environmental law. Before joining Peel, Arti worked at the Region of Durham. She has practiced at regional municipalities for almost 10 years and prior to that, she worked in the private sector doing land development.

Arshad Azhar

Arshad brings more than 35 years of experience in design, operation and planning of transportation infrastructure. He holds a Master degree (M.Sc.) in Transportation engineering, Professional Engineering License (P.Eng.), Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), and Road Safety Professional (RSP) designations. He’s the responsible for roundabout design in the Ministry. He’s been working for MTO for last 18 years in Traffic operations and Highway design.

Antonio Lata

Antonio has over 20 years of professional experience as an insider and as a consultant in various industries, including Telecommunications, Engineering and Construction, Manufacturing (Cement, Heavy Industries, Electronics) and Power Generation and Distribution Plants in Canada, U.S., U.K and Japanese Companies. He has conceptualized, designed, and facilitated more than 100 health and safety training programs across major industries. He’s a trained healthy and safety professional in Canada, U.S., Philippines and Japan.

Ann Newman, SR/WA, CET

Ann Newman is a Supervisor with Enbridge Inc. She is responsible for Eastern Canada Operations, which includes Liquids Pipelines in Ontario and Quebec, Gas Transmission and Storage in Ontario and Gas Transmission in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.  The Lands and Right-of-Way team supports operations for all right-of-way activities and land stakeholder engagement.  Ann has worked in the Oil and Gas industry since 1985 starting in drafting and design and progressing through project management. She also has experience in mapping and as a construction supervisor.

Andrei Muresan

Andrei is a licensed Professional Engineer and has been a construction professional for the past 14 years. He is currently the Manager of Technical Services for Dufferin Aggregates and Dufferin Concrete. Andrei is a proud member of the Concrete Ontario Technical Committee and has also supported the Ontario Sand, Stone and Gravel Association (OSSGA)  on various forums, as well as worked closely with TARBA and the MTO in advancing sound concrete and aggregate practices in the industry.

Alexander McPherson

Alex has an Hon. B.A. from the University of Toronto. an M.A. from Trent University, and graduated law school from Queen’s University. He’s currently an articling student at the Region of Durham and will become a lawyer in June 2021. At the Region, he provides research and support to legal counsel and provincial prosecutors across all areas of municipal legal practice, including planning and development, human resources, litigation and real estate.

Alex Sandovski

Alex is a professional engineer who graduated from Queen’s University in 1995 with a Masters in Business from York University. He’s been working municipal sales with IPEX Inc. since 2001. IPEX Inc. is the largest PVC pipe manufacturer in Canada.

Alex Piggott

Alex has over 20 years of Municipal experience working for both small rural municipalities and large urban cities in both engineering and operations.  Alex is a Certified Engineering Technologist and Certified Road Supervisor with a Senior Designation.

Adam Cripps

Adam has been the VP of Operations and Sales for Advantage Data Collection since its inception in 2010. He also played an instrumental role in the development and sales of the organization’s mobile MESH Operations Management software from Go Evo. Advantage Data and Go Evo provide services and software solutions to over 150 municipalities in Ontario and focus on enabling high-performance government with cost-effective solutions. 

Dave Anderson

David is an Asset Management Specialist with over 30 years of experience as a municipal employee and 14 years as a consultant. He has been involved with the Guelph Road School since 1997 and has during his career completed more than 300 road needs studies, state of the infrastructure data collection, and asset management projects. In 2000, Dave became the first Manager of Engineering and Infrastructure for the newly formed Haldimand County. His two-day course, “Managing the Risk,” focuses on the MTO Inventory Manual, Pavement/Asset Management.
