Mohsin Talpur

Mohsin is a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience in diversified areas of civil and water resources engineering. Currently, he is working as Development, Environmental Engineer with the City of Guelph. He reviews and provides comments on development applications and manages development projects, which include infrastructure construction for new developments, environmental assessments and other environmental studies.  Mohsin has worked at the City of Markham as an Environmental Engineer and with Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). In 2014, he had volunteered as an environmental engineering advisor with the City of Blantyre, Malawi, Africa to assist in improving their wastewater management system under Leave for Change Program.

Mike Henderson

Mike is a C.S. Anderson Guelph Road School Director since 1998 and has several decades worth of experience working with and for municipalities. He’s currently Manager, Transportation Program Development with the Region of Waterloo and held past roles from Project Manager to Survey Party Chief.  He has experience managing rehabilitation projects and core infrastructure assets. Mike is a graduate of Conestoga College in Civil Engineering Technology and he is a members of the Ontario Association of Certified Technicians and Technologists.

Michael Gregory, P.Eng., PE

Mike is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario, Florida, and Ohio with 30 years of experience in water resources planning, analysis, design, program financing, and policy development. He specializes in stormwater management master planning, floodplain analysis, and the design of infrastructure for flood/erosion hazard protection, quality treatment, volume reduction, and environmental flow maintenance.

Michael Touw

Michael is an expert in the field of public works and has spent the last 15 years in the municipal field in Eastern Ontario. With a degree in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University and a Masters of Public Administration from Western University, Michael brings a unique perspective that is a balanced between the technical and administrative lens. He’s been volunteering with OGRA’s TJ Mahoney Road School for close to a decade.

Michael Esenwa

Michael graduated from the University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt with a Degree in Civil Engineering. Since graduation he has worked in both the private and public sectors primarily in materials engineering. He’s active in providing technical support and training to the road building professionals, as well as managing McAsphalt Research Centre.

Matt Ropp

Matt has worked for the Region of Waterloo since 2006 in various roles in the Transportation Operations department. He has been involved in planning, developing, and implementing in house operational programs related to winter and routine activities. In addition, he also administers various maintenance contracts for the transportation division. Matt has been involved with Good Roads Snow School and winter programs for many years.

Mark Popik, P.ENG., M.ENG.

Mark is a partner and principal pavement engineer at Thurber Engineering Ltd. He has more than twenty years of experience in providing pavement engineering services throughout Canada. Mark has worked on a variety of pavement related projects ranging from high-volume freeways to lower volume municipal roads, intermodal facilities and airports, on a variety of soil conditions. He holds a B. A. Sc., Civil Engineering, University of Waterloo and M. Eng., Civil Engineering, University of Florida.

Mark Hayes

Mark is a veteran Manager of the Canada Border Services Agency with 35 years of service. With more than 20 years of diverse management experience in operations coordination and law enforcement, he led the Senior Management Team in their programs. Mark holds a Diploma in Law Enforcement from Sir Sandford Fleming College. He was awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 and the Peace Officer Service Medal and Exemplary Service Medal respectfully in 2006 and 2009.

Mara Engel, C.E.T

Mara has more than 24 years in the construction industry in varied roles. She began her journey as a structural steel project manager while spearheading the evolution to digital design within her organization. She moved from sub-contractor to general contractor as a Junior Project Manager for site servicing, commercial and multi-residential projects. She has helped develop extensive skills to build strong relationships as well as an understanding of the importance of budget and schedules.

Maggie Liu

Maggie is a professional engineer with over 20 years of experience in civil and water resources engineering. Maggie graduated from the University of Waterloo with a master’s degree in water resources engineering. She worked as a Project Engineer with the MMM Group, and as a Supervisor with Toronto Region and Conservation Authority. Currently, she is working as Water Resources Engineer with the City of Brampton. Maggie reviews and provides comments on development applications as well as high level watershed and sub-watershed studies. In addition, she manages large scale projects, including the two dimensional 3-way coupling hydraulic modelling study for the Downtown Brampton Special Policy Area.
